What are my options?
I am tuned with dpf/doc delete and want my diesel to sound like a true diesel. Love the way older cummins sounds. I wouldn't mind having 1 stack, but don't want to sacrifice my toolbox I purchased already. So I want to go with a regular dpf back exhaust but I want one that's louder than others. What are my options.
5" w/o muffler? Does a bigger tip make a difference also? Thanks guys |

I doubt tip size makes any difference at all if any. But a 5" system would be louder and deeper than a 4". Going without a muffler will make it louder than with one.

I dont think you will ever get that "old diesel sound" from your 6.4
I have only been in 1 straight piped 6.4 with stacks, and I thought it still sounded pretty quiet. Hell, my TDI sounds more like a diesel than most of the new trucks

5" downpipe back will sound good. It would sound even better with a 4" downpipe.

The closest sound you will get to an older diesel is with a 5" down pipe back exhaust like Jeff said. It will have the deepest tone you can get.
