I love my spartan but there is full thread of all the pro's and con's of the big three. Spartan, H&S, SCT. And really I can't find a con for the spartan even though other people have. I think they are a little to picky if you ask me.

What he said^. I debated the subject for about a year before I decided. That's why I made that thread, I tried to be as unbiased as possible when I wrote it. To prove that i was leaning heavily towards the Spartan and then the SCT from ID, but i kept a open mind and decided what route I wanted to go.
I finally went with the H&S from performance truck products.
The initial package price, the free updates, the ability to step up to a KEM tune if I want, ease of changing tire size, no sensors in the exhaust, nice display, good shifting and shift on the fly are all what helped me make my decision.
I don't race my truck. I have a mustang for that, so the 1/4 mile times and dyno numbers didn't mean as much to me.

they are both great choices. but i wanted the das daq as a monitor and data logger over the black max. And another way to look at it now is to pick something up used now that alot of people are moving to a different tuner or a new truck. I got my spartan (dash daq xl) with a full delete for 700 shipped, and even with the 325 fee and a new intake i got 1294.00 in it, and the new v2 software from spartan you no longer need the sensors in the delete pipe. Shift on the fly would be nice but i can live with out it. And to be into a spartan, full delete, intake for 50.00 more then a new unit, i think used is the way to go.

I like my mini maxx. The parameter read outs are easily readable.

2 Black maxx's , they are awesome, so easy to use, screen size is great, free custom tunes for life, on the fly tune changes, mileage is awesome(!!), etc, etc!!

I like my mini maxx also. Shift on the fly is a great feature. When you are in the snow and ice, you don't need the hp and touchy throttle.
