which synthetic oil

I recently put on a black maxx, afe stage 2, and a 5" flo pro delete dpf delete exhaust on my 08 and want to know what is a good synthetic oil to run in my truck. It had 45,000 miles onher and is a 5w 40 ok to run even though the book says 15w 40. Thanks

Personally, I think you will be fine with a quality 15w40.

If you move to a synthetic, I would suggest Rotella T6 5w40, Delvac 1 5w40 or Amsoil.

I also have run Amsoil and Chevron Delo 400LE 5w40 with good results (oil analysis).

Currently have Rotella T6 5w40 in her.

Yes, Amsoil 5W-40 "DEO" or their 15W-40 "AME" product code will work great in your DPF free truck.
Winter oil flow and cranking speed is hugely improved with Synthetic oil
