TCSLIP #'s Clarification
I've been running the KEM 275 for about the last 4000 miles, truck has 6300 on it now. I've been paying attention to and reading about tcslip alot lately and everyone says that a good converter should not get up much more than 5-10 locked at wot. Now when I go to wot in my truck at 60mph with the 275, the tcslip will spike to about 30-35 then drop to 1-3 within a few seconds. I also ran the KEM 310 the other night and tried the same thing, the tcslip spiked to 80-90 then again dropped down to around 15-20. It may have kept dropping but I let out due to excess speed. My question is if this is normal, since nobody ever talks about these "spikes".

I'm sure jeff will chime in. With a stock tranny, I'm sure spikes are normal as long they're in a certain parameter. From the numbers you've posted, I'd say your tranny is ok.

When my tc is locked, I never see slip above 5 or so, usually it stays under 2. I have been running the 275/310 for 40k on stock tranny and was on 38's for most of it, on 35's now.

I don't believe so, but I could just not have ever paid attention to it, let me check it out here in a second and I'll let you know.
