Help! "Vehicle Not Recognized" Showing up on DashDaq

Like the title says, truck will not start or even try to turn over. Battery still charged and good, so its not that. However when I tried to load the stock file back up it read "Vehicle Not Recognized"

Called Spartan and they said there may be a short somewhere and I will probably have to take it to the fordhouse. Im going to use that as a last resort, trying to see if any of yall have any other suggestions before going through that whole ordeal.

Thanks, Dillon

Did you talk with Mick when you called?

My guess is your TCM flaked out on you.

It might have been Mick, but i'm not sure

What exactly does that mean by it flaked out? Just got burnt up or something?

The TCM is probably fried.

If it turns out he fried the tcm and brings it back to ford, can ford tell that the truck has been programmed?

How bad is that going to hurt the bank? I dont have time to put the stock exhaust back on so its not going to be covered under warranty.

Would getting the Spartan TCM be an option?

Did this just randomly happen? I have a buddy that has a 2008 F-250 with a Job 1 TCM, and he was driving down the road one day and his truck shut off on him. TCM just randomly flaked out. From what I understand, the Job 1 TCM's are very flaky. I believe you will need to get the stock TCM replaced all together through the dealership.

Pretty much. Me and my dad just had lunch and went by my cousins rock yard to pick up something, but when we got back in to leave it didnt respond. It is a Job 1 TCM so I guess that could be it. Thats a bummer though, it would have been nice to have gotten an upgrade out of this incident.
