310 tune noises

When i have run the 310 tune since deleted the egr and the wastegate it makes a funny noise at about 1/4 throttle to 3/8 throttle. It sounds like valve chatter on a 7.3l on the driver's side of the motor above and beyond the normal noise of the engine. I have no codes, but went back to the 300 tune and no noise. I am not sure what the deal is. Has anybody else experienced this ?

You are probably just hearing injector rattle.

why is it only on the 310 though and not any other tune

I too hear this injection rattle on the 310. I also hear it in colder weather with the 275 at same throttle position. Reminds me of my 94 powerstroke. Don't know if it is hard on the engine or not.

yeah that was my concern. i didn't seem to have ever noticed it before i deleted the egr. I am not sure if there is any difference, but i did not want to be doing damage or something when it is obviously making a noise that it doesn't make on any other tune.

If you didn't notice it before the EGR delete, then it's something else.
