Drag Racing in 4hi

Got a quick question for those of you that frequent the strip. When you launch in 4hi do you set the hubs to lock or auto? And is it ok to do the whole run in 4hi or do I need to switch out at some point? Thanks

If your hubs and lines are in good shape, auto works and lets you turn at the end of your run. I'd only shift out when you slow at the very end of your pass, ESOF won't disengage until you're basically crawling or at a stop anyways.

Lock them in. That will make sure you are in 4x4.

: On a 2010 they shouldn't have any issues locking on their own.

i was just at the strip yesterday, didnt lock hubs, put it in 4hi and did great. stopped at the end and took it out of 4hi. i had great runs and never once had a problem with it fully engaging with hubs not locked. mine is an 05 but i figured it would be the same for you

I've made 50+ passes in my truck and never have locked my hubs.
