F450 DPF delete question
Hey all, We got a 2010 F450 and are getting killed with the obviouse poor mileage. We have a 800 gal vac tank on the rear and its a 2wd with an automatic. I am wondering what the best way to do a DPF delete is?, as far as power we are happy with what we have and really don't wanna throw a ton thru the stock trans being that the truck haul a lot of weight. What are the best options? as far as parts and programmer to remove the DPF codes?

As far as a DPF delete there are many options out there. If you are not going for big power gains I would just delete the DPF and not the cat and dpf. The higher the tune, the better your mileage will be as long as you keep your foot out of it, but with the higher HP comes increased tranny wear with the higher tunes. For the tuner, do a little reading on here (there are several posts going right now about this). Spartan, H&S, KEM are just a few to mention. They all have nice set ups, its just what personally you like. I run a spartan as well as many others on here and have been very happy with it. I would say the 210 tune would suit your needs well, it will have increased MPG's, more power, but not but over the top and or have a touchy throttle.
