Custom KEM Tune... Awesome

Hi All
Just wanted to send out some props to Mike at KEM!!

I love my Spartan. I have up to the 250 tune.
Love the 250 but it shifts far too hard in my truck. The 210 tow shifted extremely hard as well.
I always ended up using the standard 210 to tow and daily drive. The only problem with the standard 210 is the economy is about 15% less than the 250 and the converter doesn't lock up all that hard.

So I ordered a custom tune from Mike. It is AWESOME!!!!

I told him exactly what I wanted and he built it for me.
Power and economy of the 250
Shifting of the 210
Safeties of the 210 tow
and early lockup of the 210 tow.

It now shifts just a little more positive than the standard 210(perfect in my opinion), has the safeties built in so I don't have to worry about my temps and the converter locks early and rock solid. Economy is excellent!
In my opinion it is the perfect tune.

Best part, only cost $75 and Mike one of the most efficient people I have dealt with.

Try him out, you won't be dissapointed!!

Mike at Kem is a great person to deal with . Good thing he left spartan some of that might have rubbed off on him.

Thats exactly what I need on my truck, and I will definitely be calling him soon. How long did it take for you to receive the tune file?

I submitted my info after he went home for the day and it was waiting on my email when I got up in the morning.

We had issues getting this tune to work with my truck as it is an early 08. I think Mike sent me a total of 4 new tunes before we got it nailed down and he was as quick sending the fourth as he was in sending the first.

I have an early 08 (build date actually late 07) but hopefully I wont have the same issue. Do you know what was causing the tune to not work?

I had Mike make a 210 Tow file for me. I had him raise the lock-up a bit higher, around 48-50mph, the truck doesn't lug as bad pulling 12-13,000lbs. Shifting is crisp, but not harsh. In my opinion, this is a great tow file. Mike is great to talk to, is willing to take the time to talk to his customers and answer all of their questions. He had to work hard to get what I wanted, as my truck is a finicky job 1, but he didn't stop sending me files until I was satisfied. That is service quality at it's finest.
That 250 tow tune does sound interesting!!
