sound after tuning

Ive searched but I cant find exactly what Im looking for. Im finally thinking about ditching the DPF but one of the concerns I have is the sound. I like that my truck is relatively quiet for a diesel. Especially in the campgrounds, and when cruising with my camper in tow. What makes a difference in sound? The exhaust Im sure has something to do with it. What should I do if I want to remain as quiet as possible? How quiet is that? Will it be louder than stock? All the videos I see they are pretty loud. Any help would be appreciated.

There will be more of a hairdryer sound at idle, but not much louder at all. The twin turbos help keep the sound down.

Deleting the dpf will increase the noise but I'd think using just a dpf/doc delete pipe and keeping the muffler in the stock exhaust over as full delete exhaust would be better. hopefully more will chime in with other opinions.

I added a full DP back Flo-pro 4" with muffler. It is a small muffler but it does a good job of keeping it quiet. A little more whistle but but no issues for a campground or quiet neighborhood.

Mine was 5" straight piped for a while it was really loud towing couldn't keep the window rolled down. I installed a muffler and love it now.

The only time your truck will be loud (and by loud I mean loud as hell) is at WOT.

Driving around town and such it's noticibly quieter than most diesels

DPF/DOC delete on mine with stock muffler. Had the idle raised last night jumping a car at my house and when I went inside I thought my wifes hairdryer was on, literally.

I had the same concern , I went with dpf/doc delete & S&B cia! I was very impressed with how quiet my truck stayed! As stated the only time it's louder is when you're wfo & then who cares!
