Black Maxx Question

I have been reading about the Black Maxx and it states that you can turn off the EGR while leaving it in place. Will this eliminate the problems people are having with the EGR like it failing and causing engine problems and sticking a leaving you stranded or in limp home mode?

Im not sure if it cycles or not on the blackmaxx.. Alot of tuners turn it off, but still let it cycle or use it as a BP relief.. So it could stick in that cycle, but alot of the problems come from the coolers

Why not just do blocker plates instead of doing that?

You would not see the block off plates once installed and they are fairly cheap!

the black maxx does cycle the valve.that is supposed to help keep it from getting stuck in the closed or open positions.im not sure about the maxx using it as a blow off valve essentially as stated above but that is what the egr is designed to do anyway it only functions as boost increases. http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...ble%20Book.pdf check this out for a better stock operation explanation.also im sure h&s will step in here and answer shortly about their functions,or you could email them.they are pretty quick to answer if you email.
