H&S XRT Tuner and Exhaust???

I am going to be getting the XRT Tuner.

What is on tap for more tunes, custom tuning, tow tunes, etc with this tuner?

I know that right now if you want all of the you have to get the Minimaxx or Blackmaxx but for those of us that don't want all of that and the features of those other units what is being done?

I have read great reviews of this tuner and its features but just wanted to know more about what is coming up for it and its future.

Also would it be better to just get a DPF delete pipe or a full 4 or 5" exhaust from the downpipe back?

Thanks.

Well after some brief conversations with a few people I will be going with a 4" exhaust as I was told it is almost impossible to get a 5" exhaust under the truck without rubbing issues and the exhaust hitting on parts of the truck.

I had one on my 07 with only minor rub on the leaf spring (I know our leaf springs are longer) but I would imagine it's not that bad since so many people have it. But if you're only going from a 3.5" to a 4" then why even do it? That's my thinking anyway

I've heard from H&S that they are working on new tunes and things for the XRT. And when they come out, of course it will be free to download. People on here are running a full 5" downpipe back exhaust without a problem. I'm sure others will chime in soon with more information.

Bump due to being interested in the XRT also. Looking for mpg, not looking to be a HP champ. I only tow the 10,000lb fiver once a year and the 3000lb boat every other weekend.

This tuner seems to be the one for me, but the trans tuning is pretty nice in the mini maxx it seems.

I had the xrt for a few weeks, it was nice, decent power for what it is. I ended up upgrading to the mini maxx for the options avalible and trans tuning. I would recommend the xrt for someone just looking for mpg.

What is the transmission tuning as there is very limited discussion about it anywhere.

Also is H&S going to offer the same or similar tuning on the XRT as the Mini/Blackmaxx in the future or the ability to get tow tunes, etc? Looks like I might have to rethink this some.

the xrt does not support any type of trans tuning. that was the main reason why I upgraded to the mini maxx. h&s has said that they are going to offer a tuner in the future that is cheaper than the mini maxx with the trans tuning capability.

The XRT is getting re-designed, and will have a new model out soon called the XRT Pro. It will do trans tuning, as well as have higher power levels than the current XRT. We should have them in stock in less than a month. We have all the parts on order, just waiting for them to arrive.
