DashDAQ from Drew Technologies

Someone may be able to give me a quick answer to this. If I buy the DashDAQ direct from Drew Technologies (dashdaq.com) can I then purchase tunes from KEM, load them onto the dashdaq and then onto the truck? OR is there some special reason why you HAVE TO buy the dashdaq from spartan or a spartan dealer in order to use the tunes from KEM? Thanks

The DashDAQ has to have a tuning license on it. We are the only ones that can do this.

IIRC there is a hack that can be uploaded to the dashdaq that will allow it to work.

Well I talked to my buddy this morning. The stuff they are working on is in regards to the functionality of the DD and not the tuning aspect, right now anyway.

He did say that they have a DD with a license on it and what they are working on is trying to make it so that 1 tuner can tune multiple trucks at the same time without licensing restrictions and use multiple tunes from various 'companies'. He told me they are trying a few things with various tunes and hope to have a mash up of tuning available when they are completed and more functions.

He said they are going to work on making custom tuning by the user, sort of like EFI for gm. There was no time line estimate given. I do know that he is not the type of person to get in a hurry to do anything.
