synthetic oil

I am running the spartan 310 tune and was thinking about switching to synthetic motor oil. which oil would be the best to run to prolong the life of my engine.

mobil is a favorite, the rotella syn Ive heard isnt as good as some of the others out there.

Curious

I am curious about what negatives you have heard about Rotella Synthetic? I was thinking about switching to it in 2 oils after my engine has about 10K on it.

i just picked up amsoil 5w40 premium diesel oil, i am getting it changed on wednesday, i also got some amsoil engine cleaner so i can clear out the deposits left from regular oil so my engine is nice and clean for my synthetic amsoil i run amsoil in everything, including my diesel pusher motorcoach

the best way to clean out the old oil is to do a couple oil changes
