Sled pulling which tune?

I realize theres a pulling forum, but there does'nt seem to be too much action. Ive got a job 3 truck, Banks air box and tail pipe, and a Spartan tune, will the 250 tune be ok to pull with? Should I worry about the trans? Thanks in advance

A lot of guys pull with the 275 and 310 tunes, so I would say the 250 tune would be safe. Lock it in 3rd gear, 4 low, and let her rip!

Lock in third gear? I will def use 4lo. How do I keep it in third? Tow haul, And put it in third and it will stay there? Forget second gear, too slow? Thanks

You can use the shifter to lock it in 3rd. Yes, 2nd is too slow. I don't think you can use Tow/Haul in 4 low, plus it's pointless when you have it locked in a single gear.

Ok thanks for the help. We are looking forward to it, it's the first time ive pulled in a while, and my brother is pulling with a 6.7, so we'll see how we do.
