19.5" wheel question
I was thinking about going with 19.5" wheels but not sure if they would look good on a regular cab 4x4 also are there some nice all terrains out there for that size rim? Will the truck ride any better/worse? an will it kill my fuel mileage? Thanks for any help

Are you referring to the 19.5's that come on the F-450's?

Yeah those were the ones that I was wanting to get

I think you have to get an adapter to make it work. I think the lug pattern is different, but I may be mistaken.

ok thanks, i thought it said on the ad that they were direct bolt on but heck i could be mistaken as well. do you know if running those wheels and tires will help/hurt fuel mileage and what it will do to the ride

They shouldn't be a direct bolt on, ten lugs on 19.5s compared to 8 lugs for small trucks. I wouldn't know about your fuel millage but the ride might suffer a bit. Being that you'll usually have hiway thread tires(Idk bout all terrain ones) they come with alot stiffer sidewall.
Never went from stock to 19.5 but I went 19.5 to 22.5 on a few of my medium duty trucks. The ride was a lot smoother goin to 22.5s actually the MPGs stood the same or better. I have seen one reg cab dually on 22.5s around here looked kinda cool I think 19.5s would look better. G. |

thanks for all the input guys, it helps alot, now i just have to figure out if i'm ready to dump that kind of cash. I decided if i do this, i'll just buy the aftermarket direct bolt on 19.5"s instead of spending alot of money and just "hoping" they will work lol. thanks again
