210 tow tune spartan...

hey all,
i would like to know exactly what this tune does, i bought the truck used and it came with the tuner...do i still use tow haul and what does the tune do?

That is jrod's old truck.

Yes, you can use the tow/haul button when running the tune.

ya, it is jrod's old truck, and ok thanks...i run the 210 tune for daily driving and just wanted to know how the 210 tow worked thanks a lot

how many miles are on jrods old truck

The 210 locks the tc sooner at around 45 mph and firms up the shifts some. The first time I loaded it I thought it shifted too hard and went back to the 250 for a dd. However, I loaded the 210 yesterday when I already had my camper behind the truck and didn't do a tranny relearn or anything now it seems to shift great. I recommend doing that now for you guys that like the early lock up but not the hard shifts. Loading it with around 8k lbs. behind you seem to help out.

so, when would i have to do a tranny relearn, i didnt when i loaded the 210? thanks

with the 250 i was getting around 22, but with the 210 i am actually getting less, around 16...i like that it has the safety parameters on it though so that is why i am putting up with the milage, which isnt terrible. i just would rather pay for gas than something that has broken

You shouldn't be paying for GAS....

But the only thing you could likely break with the 250 is an intercooler boot running wide open.
