Installed DPF delete kit and edge race programmer getting turbo noise
I installed the DPF and Cat delete today on my 09 6.4. along with the edge race tuner. Now when I turn the engine off It sounds like the turbo is still spinning. It sounds pretty weird. It seems like the noise may be coming from the air box but it definitely sounds like the turbo. I was curious if this was due to the backpressure being relieved and hope it is normal. Anyone else get this noise??? Thanks

How long does the noise last after you shut the truck off? I just installed dpf/cat pipe today as well and for about 2 seconds after ahutting off the truck I notice a winding down noise but haven't thought anything about it.

It sounds like the turbo winding down for a couple of seconds, I can definitely feel it in the air box when I have someone else shut it off and I have my hand on the box. I was hoping it was normal. It scared the heck out of me at first.

Anything that spins at 20,000rpm takes a little time to stop. It's normal, you just didn't hear it before because of all the stuff in the way.
