S&B intake, worth the $$$ for a stock 6.4?

i was looking in to the s&b intake for our 2010 6.4. it was between this and afe but what i found out was that afe throws trouble codes more than the S&B. so this is a stock truck, no tuner in the near future because of warranty and all that for right now but, would this be well spent money for a stock truck or would it just be a waste. it claims however much more hp, tq, and .5 to 1 or so better mpg but basically i just wanna know if this is worth it. what do you 6.4 guys know about it. i know alot about the 6.0's and intakes arent worth it unless your pushing 500+ hp.
thanks ahead of time. these are the answers i couldnt find

It moves the intake sensors around to create a demand for more fuel which gives you good seat of the pants feel over bone stock. It and the aFe filter better and are easier to change than the stock set up. Sound over stock will be the biggest thing. As for the comment about the 6.0, intakes made a difference for the trucks that had the original off the assembly-line tuning that used the EBP sensors.

Intake was one of the first mods when I bought my truck, with the DPF-on it picked up about 3/4 - 1 MPG. If you want some more sound its worth it, but if your after MPG the gains are not substantial.

I still have It. My family owns a construction business And we have 3 6.0's and. 1 6.4. We Love our Ford's. Haha. My truck is the 05 6.0. My dads is the 6.4. And the other two are just business trucks.

Your not going to hear much of a sound difference with the S&B.....they are also a much bigger pain in the butt to install and clean than the AFE intakes.

I heard that the AFE code problem was just with the first ones and they have fixed the problem .
I found the S&B a PITA to install but have had no problems/codes so far.

I had a 6.0 with an s&b and I had no trouble codes, I liked the sound and I am positive that with the other mods I had it increased hp tq and mpg. I now have an 08 with a s&b and with the other mods I have it is doing the same thing. The filter cleaning is very easy to do, the 6.0's was a &^%$. An airbox will help you most with your regen cycle on the 6.4 so I feel it is money well spent.
