Programmer and dealership warranty

I have an f250 08 and i just bought an edge evolution, can a dealer detect that i programmed the truck if i set return it to stock programmer and remove everything??

Im hearing the dealer has to actually go looking if you actually programmed? So if there is a problem do they plug into the PCM and it auto comes up with edge programmer?? NEED INFO PLEASE!!!

Yes and no. I would put it back to stock before you took it in, for sure, but with the Magnaflow and Banks intake on, they're likely going to give you a hard time anyway.

There is a few things a technician can look at to indicate some reflash stuff, but from what I understand on an engineering level, very much more can be seen.

i haven't had any problems with them saying anything about exhaust or intake not one word. so basically if they go to a computer to read what's wrong with the truck can they tell it was programmed or do they have t go looking to see if i used a programmer?

Depends on how swift the guy is using the IDS.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, to be honest with you.

And in my personal opinion, the Edge Evolution is not a very good programmer. I had one when I first got my truck and it did some not very nice things to the transmission.

You were mislead. Spartan or SCT is the way to go.

I never had mine off of Level 4. Ran it in level 4 for about 30k miles, actually. That particular programmer is fairly hard on the transmission, however.

PM me and I will connect you with a guy that can do everything you need, for the right price, and the stuff works absolutely flawlessly.

it just doesnt have a trans command so its being left behind while the engine is on roids.

but as far as the dealer...the exhaust and intake ford looks at it as an upgrade...the reflash on the other hand not so much. it just depends really. if your under warranty which i assume you may be i would recommend setting it back to stock....

look into custom tunes as well.

but as far as the dealer...the exhaust and intake ford looks at it as an upgrade (incorrect -- If your aftermarket exhaust/intake sets codes related to engine input/output for airflow -- DPF codes, MAF codes, etc. -- don't expect to get it covered under warranty)...the reflash on the other hand not so much. it just depends really. if your under warranty which i assume you may be i would recommend setting it back to stock....

bolded/italicized parts in the post are my added info.
