How much boost.....

....is everyone seeing running down the race track? I data logged boost this past weekend and I seem to be seeing a max of right around 46 psi. This is with the Spartan 310.

I was just wondering how this compared to other trucks and setups.

seems a little low,do you have ported heads? i can see 46-49 but i know i lost a little boost when i did the ported heads...are you wastegated?

Ported heads and wastgated.

It seemed a little low to me as well. To reach 46 psi of boost my EBP was way up at 84 psi. I'm going to adjust the gate a little to get drive pressure down some, but thats not going to help the low boost situation.

84 is really high, what kind of controller are you using? it dont sound like the gate is opening at all...what do you have it set at now?

I'm using a Hallman Pro manual controller. When I hit 84 psi EBP I had it twisted all the way down so the gate was working just off spring pressure alone. 84 psi is nothing for my truck. Before the WG I could peg the DD at 86 at part throttle in no time. 84 psi at WOT is actually a pretty big improvement from where I was...lol. I'm going to keep playing with it, but I got to get back to the track.

so you were seeing 86 part throttle,what were you seeing wot before the wastegate?

The DD pegs at 86 psi for the EBP sensor, so I really have ne idea how much pressure I was making before. I don't think it is really that uncommon to have EBP that high with the EGR blocked off and the bigger tunes.

before i added the wastgate i too would easily see 80+ ebp,now with the gate dialed in its very hard for me to see 70,usually stays in the 60's while boost is in the high 40's,i feel im pretty dead on the 1:1 ratio we strive for,i just think it sounded high for a truck thats gated...
