Question Cold Air Intake Systems & DPF Back Exhaust?

While I am new to the 6.4 in my 2010 F250, I am no stranger to diesels. However, these new trucks have me confused. I would like to start doing some mods, but I am unsure of what Cold Air intake system to use. In the past I have always used AFE products (I like thier products, because they work!).

I know they are available for the 6.4, but my concern is do they throw codes? How is the Banks set-up in comparison? I'm also open to other suggestions too. I like the look of S&B, but it looks like a pain in the A$$ to clean. I want a product that work and does not throw codes.

My truck is 100% bone stock right now. I would like to get the intake and a DPF back exhaust for now. Then I will do the delete and Spartan.....Once I feel my truck is going to be trouble free. I need to get more miles on it before I can make that call.

As for the DPF back.....I know the gain will be minimal at best, but I can't stand the goofy stock look...LOL. I would also, like a quality product that will last and compliment the DPF delete in the future. In the past I ran MBRP products and was always happy.....But, again I am open for all suggestions.

Thanks!

You should not have any code issues with a 2010 truck. Most trucks that had the issues were the early 08's. AFE makes very nice kits as does S&B. The AFE kit is easier to clean though.

As far as exhaust goes, MBRP makes excellent systems as does Maganflow and a few others. I personally prefer the look of the Maganflow DPF back kits over MBRP due to the "intercooled" tip Magnaflow uses. MBRP uses a spiral fluted tail section which looks kind of hoky in my opinion.
