5" Flo Pro Issues

Hey guys hows it going? I recently picked up an 08 Ford Superduty and then just purchased a 5" Flo Pro turbo back exhaust. Well I received it from UPS yesterday and wanted to install it right away. So I got started after work and got the stock exhaust removed and the new downpipe on. Then when I began installing the pipe that attaches to the downpipe my problems started. The supplied 4" clamp won't get tight enough to hold the piece firmly to the downpipe. I got the clamp as tight as I can get it and I can still twist the piece which just can't be right.

I just wanted to see if anyone else had any problems simliar to this and had any suggestions for getting this clamp tighter or to hold the piece more firmly.

Thanks in advance for your help,

John

I've noticed on the last couple of flo-pro pipes that I've installed, the band clamp is a POS. The bolt strips out and will not tighten. I had some other clamps laying around, but you might be able to just replace the bolt.

Ya Ill see what I can do, I think the bolt/nut is still good because the clamp is clamping down far enough to wedge the half moon spacer thing. Like when I loosen up the bolt I have to pop it with a flat head screwdriver its wedged so tight. Its getting tight just not tight enough to really clamp the exhaust pieces firmly together, so I'm wondering if I should try and continue tightening it to see if it gets better or if I should maybe slide something inside the clamp to increase the diameter that its clamping down to get it tighter?

Thanks John

Ya I think I'm just going to get it as tight as I can without breaking it and then I'm gonna throw a bead on it to insure it doesn't come off but isn't too crazy if I need to take it off down the road.

Thanks John

Ok I have one more question about the exhaust. I wasn't able to get one of the sensors out of the stock exhaust, the very last one down towards the tailpipe. Its in way too tight and I tried a bunch of different solutions and nothing worked. I am using the XRT tuner, does it require the sensors or could I cap the bung/s.

Thanks John

I had problems with the band clamps getting tight stripped some out and wound up using standard clamps in some spots. i did contact flo pro and the shipping all new standard plated clamps free of charge still have them!
