Exhaust Sound?
Hey I recently had a dpf delete only installed. I was curious if removing or changing the stock muffler will change the sound in any way? Inside the cab it sounds like a hairdryer and from the outside it sounds decent. I just figured it may be a little bit louder with the dpf removed.

Removing the stock muffler will do nothing.

Yea, it would give you a louder and throatier exhaust note. The hair dryer sound will still be there though.

When I got mine, I ordered the 3.5" DPF/CAT delete. Kept the stock muffler and exhaust tips. Wish I would have gotten the 5" downpipe back. Currently have the 3.5" delete to 4" MBRP straight pipe with 5" tip. Will be going to the 5" downpipe back soon with a 6" tip. What brand should I go with?

Flo-Pro makes the only full downpipe back exhaust system. You can piece a kit together though. That is what mine will be. Powerstroker67 5" delete pipe with an MBRP 5" DPB back system.

AFE makes 4" DP Back kits, but not 5". If you want a nice deep tone, 5" is definitely the way to go. Cab noise is not bad at all.
