I just did my first tow with my Mini Max this past weekend. I towed in the "hot" setting(175hp.) It was great!! A major improvement over stock. My trailer weight is around 7,000# with 6 passengers. Egt's never got over 1,000 on a steep grade. Coolant and trans temps were also well with-in safe limits. Transmission tuning was also much improved over stock. All in all the MM made towing effortless and enjoyable...

So what settings come with the Black Maxx in HP-wise. Because if "hot" is only 175 then I would think the spartan would be a better choice with their 310 and 350 HP settings...

H&S Mini Maxx W/O pyrometer

Dodge and GM are 175hp on the "out of the box" hot setting. Ford bumps it up to 250hp on the Hot. There is also a free download of the "hot damn" for the Ford that will take you 275-300hp over stock.

thanks for the good reviews guys!

Thanks for the answer bud, 250 is around the number i'm looking for, i'm afraid that anything much more will require more advanced upgrades to the motor and tranny.

My 08' truck dynoed 542hp and went 13.1@103mph with the 'Hot Damn' tune in it.

To the OP, I do my towing in the Mild setting. Seems to be more than enough to keep the heavy trailer running 75mph no matter what the grade.

Download the Hot Damn files and your preffered shifting strategy then upload them onto your BM card.

i figured you would be the one to ask if i had a question, how hard can i push my truck without getting the new head studs? i drive my truck on 3k mile round trips 3 to 5 times a year and it needs to be reliable....
