08 head gasket/ how do you know if its the weak one

Found a deal on an 08 F-350. How can you tell if it has the weak head gaskets. Here is the vin# 1ftww31r08ed87252. Hope this helps

All early build date trucks have potentially weak gaskets. I'll check the VIN and see what the build date is.

Wouldn't show me the build date, just the year model.

see the "8ed" in your vin? well "8ea,and some 8eb's are job 1 trucks,i would say you have a job 3 truck with a "8ed" hope this helps

Job 3 is better......everything except that ugly front valence.

So does that mean that anything Jan 08 build (Job 3) and newer have the better Head gaskets? When did IH stop using the old style Head Gaskets? Does anybody know?
