Spartan EGTs only read 200

I run a 250 on a 2010 6.4 with an c&l intake and 4 inch turbo back flo pro duals and lately my egrta gauge is only reading 200 and if it does read properly im allready off the throttle.Anyone know why?maybe a bad egr sencor in the truck?also should i get a egt gauge instead and run it, and possibly and egr deleate?(which i have know idea about it or what it does its my 1st diesel)thanks again

You could have a bad EGT sensor, the EGRTA sensor is in the passenger side up-pipe. If you want to run an aftermarket pyrometer, I suggest putting it in the driver side up-pipe. An EGR delete is great for making the truck more reliable, if you plan on bigger tunes, but if you have the cab up for an EGR delete, you might want to do head studs.

so if im sticking with my 250 im fine without the egr deleate?also is the spartan as accurate as a pryo?
