Edge with attitude?

I put this unit on my 08 6.4L around 5,000mi.

Now I am at around 28,000 and the truck is smoking some when I stomp on the go pedal. I called edge and they thought I was weird asking about the smoke. Most people want more they said.

My problem is it never smoked before so is it the motor finally braking in??

Thanks Randy

If you have a DPF on the truck then that is NOT good! That is an odd response from Edge too. Did you tell them you had a DPF on the truck?

If you still have your DPF on, its probably shot... If you have you DPF off, a little smoke is nothing to worry about. Unless its white or blue smoke...

I do have the DPF still in the truck. The chip seems to over ride the stock regeneration. I did tell the tech support also that the PDF

You should NEVER see smoke with the DPF on the truck. That means that it isn't functioning properly. Not always a tuning issue....it could be the DPF. My father has a completely stock 6.4 that will blow smoke when he stomps it. The DPF is blown through, or as some say it "cracked"

Lets say the pipe is blown threw. What will it hurt? It seams when I drive the truck a long ways or every 3 days the exhaust is regenerating. The exhaust gets louder than after it is done back to normal.

If the pipe is "blown threw" it can cause more frequent regens and could cause constant regen.

Randy, have you thought about ditching the Edge and going with a recomended tuner and delete pipe........? I know "warrenty" is the main reason people doent delete the DPF, but that Edge is more than likely gunna cause some problems down the road.... Peace!
