spartan 250 trans help

i just uped the 210 tune to the 250 tune. here is the issue. i understand that this will result in harder shifting that i have no issue with and i know i have to drive it with some common sence. I pulled out into traffic and i had to punch it and my trans started jumping pretty bad like it didnt know what to do or which gear to go in. Once i stopped at the stop light i went to accelerate and it SLAMMED second really bad. after that it ran like it did when i first installed the 250. my truck had about 3500 miles on it and the 250 tune has only been on for about 100 miles. Does my tranny need to relearn or what please help. Thanks guys i know in this forum i will get numerous replys oh and PS the 7" stack kickes a **** load of smoke with the 250 tune vs the 210

no because i read on a thread before that you dont have to do the relearn until the 275 tune. And i have heard of numerous ways to do them. but i dont understand that the day i put the 250 tune on i punched it and it did fine but today when i did it my trans didnt know what to do... but if i need to do the relearn which way do you perfer ????? thanks

Do the relearn! That tune has increased line pressure and needs some sort of relearn. Do a few 1/2 throttle passes through the gears, then a a few 3/4 throttle passes through the gears, and then do a few WOT passes through the gears. That should get the tranny good a learned. Just make sure you find a good spot to do it where you won't get yourself hurt or pulled over.
