Busted!

I have a 2008 F-250 PSD with a SCT tuner with DPF/CAT delete and RCD tunes. My front Rotor locked up on me and needless to say I called road side assistance. They are towing it to the Stealership. When they see the DPF/CAT delete I am so busted. I hope I don't have to pay for the tow or the rotor/break repairs.

Might have been better to pay for a private tow to your home, return to stock, then a tow to the dealer.

It's obvious that your tuner did not cause this problem, but you may lose your warranty anyway.

They could say that the added HP caused undo stress on the brakes.

That sucks. Its hard to think about these things when your broke down on the side of the road. I guess you will find out if your dealer is mod friendly or not.Hope it works out for you. Let us know.

Not a ford but my 08 dodge had a smarty with all the deletes and it went in just like that for warrenty work on suspension. I even told them it was programmed and not to hook their computer to it. Did not want them flashing any new updates. He said that was fine but it may void my warrenty for any engine repairs. No problem and he fixed the suspension for free.

I'm sure they will fix his for free also, but his (as well as yours) VIN might be flagged for future warranty problems.
