Anyone running the banks intake?

Friend of mine is selling his used one cheap. Is it worth it? My truck is stock.

Ive read that these intakes throw check engine codes, can anyone verify this?

I have a AFE stage 2 CAI on my truck for the past week or so and I haven't had any lights to come on.

I have only ever heard that the S&B intakes will not throw codes on stock trucks, BUT that doesn't mean that the Banks intake will. Hopefully someone will chime in and help out!

I've had the Banks CAI on for 5 weeks and no check engine lights. Fitment and quality are top notch. The nice part is also you can buy individual parts for the kit too (MAF gasket, worm clamps ect...)

Ditto. Had mine on for about 4 months before my Spartan and never had any codes thrown. Many will say that they're over priced, but if you're getting a good deal on it, I'd say go for it. Great complement for the Spartan if you're getting that in the near future.
