Tuner Problems-PLEASE HELP
Hey All,
I am new to the .org and am in need of some help. I have a 6.4L with a 4" lift and 35's. stock exhaust and a S&B intake. I was given a Bully Dog GT Tuner for free.....I know what you all think of Bully Dog while doing some searches for the issue that I am having. Once my problem is fixed I am going to be giving it back. Here goes: I connected it to the fuse panel and flipped the switch on the OBDII plug. Rolled the key forward and the monitor came on like it was supposed to. I went to menu and then install download after selecting my vehicle. Went through the prompts until it came to the "Turn Key to Run Position". I turned the key to the run position and waited......and waited.......and nothing. It is still in this position and nothing is happening. After 20 minutes or so in this position, I unplugged it. The truck will not start. Someone please help me. I am lost on this one. I have installed many tuners in past trucks, but am at a loss. If anyone can give me some advice, that would be great. Thanks..... |

You should hook it back up and try to return it to stock...

It never programmed. It just went to that screen and stopped. Had it run through any installation, then I would try that.

have you tried hooking it back up?

Wish I could help, I don't know anything about that tuner though.

The first time I tuned my 6.4 took 30 minutes to tune. But I dont know anything about the bully dog.

Again, try hooking it back up and applying a different tune. Is it internet upgradeable, if so, go update it then try again. If not, tow the truck to ford and have them reprogram the various modules back to stock as I think you may have corrupted the stock tuning....

I have tried starting over multiple times now. The same thing happens. I know that a friend had this happen with his Dodge, but it was because the trailer brake was interrupting the tune. He unplugged the trailer brake, and he was back in business. I know that it is something simple, I just can't figure it out.
