DashDaq-2 Mounting Solution Cup holder

All,
I have completed the Cup holder modification t that allows you to mount your dashdaq inside. this Modification does not require any tools. but removal of the lower panel sure makes it easier. but not required.

The part I fabricated is made entirely of plastic and is a drop in replacement for the cup holder itself. which means its completely reversible!
Also, requires no painting just rout your cable behind the lower dash and push it thru the 2 holes and snap the DashDaq in and your in business.

As far as the location. I found their are pros and cons. I tend to not use my DD unless Im going on a long trip or just plain curious. AlsoIm not one to show off my goods. So
PROS: easy install, reversible, completely hidden when needed. easy to access the memory card. easy to access the unit by hand if needed.
Cons: Not in your line of sight view. Also its not flashy in your face. (I don't see this as a real con but for some of you it might be)

Enjoy!

Movie can be seen here.

Looks great Sam! I definitely like the other style better because you don't have to look down to view it, but this will be a great option for those that worry about their DashDAQ's getting stolen due them being in view of people outside of the vehicle. Great work yet again!

Forgot to add,
As far as the angle that you see it is the greatest allowable angle you can get with the door open and still allow it to close. when installed and the door is closed its a mer 0.25"
from touching the inside back wall. and still allow the cable to be plugged in.

DashDaq Dash pod Superduty 2008-2010
I did complete the body, but have not completed the servo/mechanism
I have the parts but just need to get my assembly procedure finalized
and then theirs the cable issue. 2 small speed bumps. but I will finish it.
it will be motorized when completed.

It will be much cheaper for the manual version, but still not cheap I would assume. Sam does great work though, so it would be very much worth the money!

I have to complete the unit before I can figure a price. I finished my personal unit.
but when building many units it takes quite a different process. building them one at a time is WAAAAAAAYYYYY to costly I have about 500 bucks in my first unit. not including any of my time. R&D is something I have learned to respect more and more.
But I will post $$ when I get there.
