How long will it last?

Hey guys I've had my truck for the last 10 months/20,000 miles and it has been running the 275 for all of those, not sure for how long before that. Well anyways I have been looking to upgrade to the 310, but I really do not have the means to do a whole lot of supporting mods.

So my first question is can I run the 310 just every once in a while without upgrading the TCM and headstuds?

If I do get the TCM how much longer will it make my tranny last?

I do run my truck pretty easy most of the time, but every once in a while I like to get those rear tires spinning and that smoke a blowing. Just lookin for a little more power, without having to break the wallet.

Once you go to the 310 everything can change. You could blow your head gaskets doing a tranny relearn with it. You gotta pay to play though. You gotta figure out if blowing your head gaskets and studding your truck is something your willing to do if you go to that tune. I am not saying it will happen because there are plenty that run it with no problems. Its just something you have to consider and keep in the back of your mind when you go to that tune.
