ANOTHER happy Spartan / Rudy's customer
Been stalking this forum for months, being as patient as possible and finally pulled the trigger with a Spartan package with Aaron. As everyone has stated, perfect execution at Rudy's. Buddy and me did the install in 2 1/2 hours. 210 tune loaded, tranny relearn, everything is perfect.
My buddy has a 2009 cummins and was quite jealous of the plug-n-play power of the 6.4L. He has $20k and all kinds of craziness in his truck, and yes it's a beast, but you can't beat 3 hours and 4 wrenches to get this much fun! To think, all this power was always there, it just needed a little help to show her true colors!

Well I have gone through my first tank with the 210 tune. Stock my average was 12 mpg, first tank gave me 14 mpg hand calc. And I'm sure the Spartan "break in" hurt that number a bit. So 10,000 times more fun to drive, plus I picked up 16% better mileage.
Loaded the 250 last night to play with it over the weekend. We'll see how this tank performs, of course I'll need to do a tranny relearn again... Oh and GC Builder, we didn't line em up, was dark by the time we finished, and I know the 210 tune wouldn't have gotten him anyway. We'll see what the 250 has though!

I did the same thing. Loaded the 210 tune at first. I got about 14 mpg the first tank and blamed it on the tranny relearn and other "testing". But my second tank, I grandpa'd it and got the same again. I loaded the 250 tune last weekend and can already tell that the mpg is gonna be better. The only concern about the 250 tune is the 2-3 shift is very firm. It bothers me a little, but I'm hoping it'll go away as the adaptive learning does its thing.
