Question $5000 budget

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok just pulled the trigger on a 08 f 350 cc/sb srw, it will be here next week and i want to start moding right away. I have a $5000 budget maybe a little more to start out with and i need to know what mods would be best for alot of power I know that im doing spartan, intake and dpf delete. I dont do much towing anymore and will use the truck as a daily driver with trips to the drag strip a couple times a month. I just want a really fast street truck that will beat most anything. Also the truck has about 55000 miles on it is that to many because I dont want to have alot of problems. Thanks for any input

Might want to get something to keep the rear axle from twisting.

I say you go ahead and put the supporting mods in:

Elite EGR Delete with Wastegate
ARP or H11 Studs
Blow-Off Valve
Upgraded Torque Converter
And then save up for a MBRP downpipe and exhaust, AFE Stage II Intake, and then a Spartan with the 345 tune

Welcome

I would suggest not to forget about your fuel delivery, perhaps FASS, AirdogII something of the sort. Also a Detroit locker for the rear.

Good luck,
Dom

this will be WAY more than 5 grand

see above.. the labor alone will be expensive.

i wouls spend it on the spartan system which will eat up abourt 2 grand then spend the rest on supporting mods like
elite egr delete and bov kit
h1 studs
suncoast convertor
or maybe hold off on tranny mods until you can afford to add for parts while youre into it.. like go ahead and upgrade it to a suncoast stage5 r something....

i would just spend the extra 3 g on supprorting mods non the less...

the spartan system will make it powerfull enough to keep you satisfied long enough to build a good foundation for the mods to come

Spartan with TCM, Exhaust, Intake and Traction bars. Then put the rest of the money in a savings account to save untill something breaks or you need new tires.

5k budget doesnt give you enough for the major mods after you have bought these things.
