You need a tuner. Spartan or Black Maxx apparently are the best and a majority of the guys around here are running them. Myself, I have an SCT with custom tunes from River City Diesel.

No. The truck will request a regen and you will be stuck in regen.

I know everyone is deleting their DPF, but what about the EGR? The 6.0 had a lot of problems and I went in on my old 2005 6.0 and welded the cooler pipe shut, should the same be done to the 6.4?

deleting the egr the correct way requires the cab to come off and most kits come with a wastegate also.

It is a really good idea once you start running the high HP tunes to reduce backpressure.
Of course when you do this most also do studs.

Bernhausen Diesel

I sell both SCT and Spartan... started off selling more Live wires but the Spartans are what guys are starting to ask for. I am told no footprint but can not get 100% confirmation if there is such a thing.

My buddy used to be a tech at ford for about 2 years. For a while he was a diesel helper while training to be a diesel tech. They had a guy who had 3 engines replaced under warranty. They new he was tuned and thats how he was blowing them, but they couldnt catch him. So...... hope that helps answer your footprint question.
