Cool Who was the SCT originally purchased from?

If the guy you're buying it from didn't switch his truck back to stock, the tuner may be locked. It depends who he bought it from and with who's tunes... get more info from him before you jump!!!

thanks, the guy im buying it from works at a performance shop, he bought it new but i dont know where the tunes came from.

So all he has to do is "unmarry" the tuner and his truck?

Yes, I had a 2005 F250 and had the SCT X3 tuner with custom tunes from Innovative. I sold the truck and forgot to return it to stock, and then sold my tuner to a friend with a 2004 F250, and in order for him to unlock the tuner we had to go back to the dealership and return the truck to stock.

Bernhausen Diesel

an SCT dealer could reformat it and make it work on your truck. Go to SCT's website and use the SCT dealer locate.

I am an SCT dealer but am in BC.
