Fuel Pump questions
So I have an OBS and im going to do a one off fuel system. I came into a deal with a 6.0 pump (which i know will do what i need) and a 6.4 pump. My question for you 6.4 gentleman is what kinda PSI does that 6.4 pump put out? Thanks for any help on this

hmm a 6.4 pump?? that would be interesting. i cranked mine up today with injectors in and saw 68 psi at the rail i am not sure if i am going to turn it down or not i dont think i will

haha well you will want to fine tune it as to see what your truck likes. some trucks like closer to 60 some closer to 70

yeah i may fudge with it a bit but for now on the stockers it will be left alone

haha yeah before ya blow a seal. Well with the 6.4 being a common rail (so im told i dont know for sure) this pump is just a feed pump not the actual injector pump

ahh i think you may be correct on that one not sure if that would be enough psi or to much

prolly not a high psi type of pump ya know

yeah its what im thinking. that its the low pressure kind

The 6.4 has 2 fuel pumps. The pump on the rail produces 3-5 psi. The pump in the engine produces up to 30,000psi. I don't think either one would work good on the 7.3.
