smoked headlights

I was told there was a real good step by step thread that was posted or talked about on how to remove,take apart and paint the headlights. If someone could give me some info or a link address that would be great. Thanks

It involves baking the headlights to get them apart and a lot of people crack the lenses when they do this. Not huge cracks but a bunch of little ones. If you want it done professionally pm me and i'll give you the info for a company that can do it for you.

Otherwise I believe Matt P was the one who did the write up. not 100% on that though

I'm in the process of painting mine black. I've already baked them and have them apart. It is a pain in the *** to do and you have to just trust that the oven will not melt them! They have to be baked for like 10-12 minutes at about 300 degress and then taken apart. I'm also instally projector HID's from retro-solutions and took out the amber lense. All light bulbs are LED now. Should be finished by Monday.

If your worried about the baking process and getting moisture in the lights you could always spend the coin and go with Harley headlights. That is my plan at least.

Those Harley lights are very clean.... im going to get me a pair as well

Ya I went with the harley lights. AED 250 got them for me at a very fair price.
I also have my stockers for anyone who trys to bake theirs and messes up,lol.

Matt P is almost done with mine now, they look great from the pics!! He changes a fair price WAY under Harley lights thats for sure.
