tunings-disconnected battery

for some reason the "instructions" for my s&b intake install said to disconnect the battery. I assumed at first it was for safety's sake, but then thought maybe it was to reset the computer. If that WAS the case, did I loose my tunings?

I do know for certain that the TCM forgot what the Fk it learned... Do I need to re-load stuff?

No, the tune will not be gone if you disconnected the battery. And there is absolutely no reason to disconnect the battery for an intake install....maybe on a stock truck, but not a tune truck.

I believe they are saying that because you are removing/disconnecting MAF sensor on the intake to move it to the new one, I never diconnect the batteries for that kind of stuff, but I guess you are "supposed" to.
