Suggestions on intake/filter

Hey guys, soon to be installing Spartan with delete. Question is, if I'm only going to run no more than the 250 tune, do I really need an intake? If not, what brand of drop on filter do y'all recommend?

I'm kind of in the same boat. I've had the spartan/full delete for about 2000 miles now, and have been running the 250 for most of that time. I've read, and been told that with the 250 and up, a guy (or a girl) should have an intake on the truck. So I am ordering one today. ...as soon as I find who has one, and can ship it today.

You really and truly need an intake or at least and aftermarket drop in filter with the Spartan 250 tune. You can get by with the 210 and under tunes, but the 250 and up tunes need something aftermarket.

I went with S&B, liked it so much wound up with two. I selling my extra one in the classified section of the forums. I have had no problems with the S&B, however it looks like it with be a PITA to change the filter.

So is there that much difference between the drop-ins? AFE, Green, Airaid, Banks.....? Might have to just settle for filter for time being.

You'll be alright with just a drop in with the 250 tune. The stock intakes on these trucks flow really good. Save 200 bucks and buy a Green filter!!!
