Transmission ?'s

It is about time to upgrade the tranny. Should I just rebuild mine with the Suncoast kit or buy a new transmission from them. What are the pros/cons of each? Also, could a vendor PM a price for this including a TC. Thanks.

I've heard of people having good luck rebuilding themselves, I've also heard horror stories of people doing it themselves. I prefer getting one built by Suncoast, it has a 1yr labor and 2yr parts warranty, and they do stand behind their work.

i got a price on a fully built suncoast with a tc with shipping to my door and the shipping of my old one back to suncoast and i didnt think it was very pricey

What about ATS? Good, bad, boat anchor? Says has 5 yr, 500,000 mile warranty. Prices seems pretty comparable if you figure in the cost of the TC and shafts.

If you want to go a different direction than suncoast i heard goerend had something for our trucks now.

BTS all the way lifetime warranty. I live in Canada so I got the next best thing. NADP Heavy Hauler.

From what I have been told....from a reliable source.....the BTS for the 5R110W isn't what it is for the regular 5R110 and the 4R100. Suncoast is the proven way to go guys. As a matter of fact I have one in my truck as of last night, and it is unreal. I kid you not, the 250 tune feel as strong as the 275 did with the stock tranny.
