What Tuner/Tune is best for me?
I own a 2010 F250 6.4 CC with 3:55 gears and have 37's on it.My wife drives it back and forth to work daily 7 miles each way,I drive on nights and weekends plus pull a 6,600 lb boat on occasion.I am looking for better performance(no track),better mileage, no regen and a safe tune.I have been researching H&S,Spartan and SCT and still confused.Any advice
on the Tuner/tune/exhaust/intake would be appreciated.I don't want to buy more than I need |

The Spartan tuner is what I recommend. You get 9 DPF delete tunes and 4 DPF on tunes for the price of $1249.00. The tuner is touch screen and allows you to monitor 49 different parameters. There are also many different gauges settings/themes to choose from. The tuner is plug and play and comes with all of the tunes from stock no DPF up to the 250 tune. There are also 275, 310, and 350 tunes for additional cost. Let me know if you have any other questions. Check out any of the vendors on here that carry Spartan, or you can buy it direct from us. They are all gonna do the same thing for what your wanting. Just make sure you buy from a vendor thats still gonna be in business 6 months from now. Someone like Rudy's who will be there after the sell.

I have a similar dilemma as the OP when I have enough miles on my truck I am going to do the deletes and get her tuned.
I am going between the spartan and H&S, I know both are great tuners, I have been in love with spartan since I heard of them and I know the capability the dash daq has, but H&S is a Utah company and I like to support my local businesses and shift on the fly is a plus. I just wonder if H&S tunes are as safe as Spartans since they are shift on the fly tunes. I have heard horror stories of shift on the fly tuners but it seems to me that H&S has done there homework. I'm sure whichever one the OP goes with he will be very happy. We are lucky to have such great tuning companies for these trucks! |

Couldn't be happier with my tuning from H&S. Truck runs great and mileage has jumped over 4mpg. Not to mention the horsepower increase. The adjustability of being able to shift on the fly is nice as well.
I also like that H&S offers the Mini Maxx and the XRT tuner for these trucks as well. That XRT is the perfect answer for someone looking for a dpf delete and some tuning to bump mileage with it without spending an arm and a leg. I don't thing you can go wrong with the H&S stuff. |
