Spartan 275/310 shifting problems.

When I have the 275 or 310 tunes loaded up, it seems I can't get on it from a roll, it will downshift upshift and then slam back to a downshift, then after i stop it will get hung up in a higher gear.don't get me wrong if I stall it up from a dead stop it runs and shifts perfect, but I'd really like to merge on to the interstate without tearing my trans up.

So as of right now I'm running the 210 tune, I just wish the converter would lock up sooner, I think it's around 85 mph before it locks up.

On another note I just got my trans rebuilt at ford, it did this before and after the rebuild.

try adding an extra quart to the tranny. Update to a strategy flash. It comes with the 210 tune tune. Nice lock up at around 45mph.

shifting can become erratic at speeds above 45mph due to excessive torque converter slip you may wanna invest in an aftermarket torque converter, I love my ATS but you cant go wrong with a Suncoast.

Did you do the Spartan TCM/trans relearn procedure?

I would do the relearn and see what happens. It usually helps out when shifting is crazy.

1.) From a stop, accelerate the vehicle to 55-60 mph at approximately 1/4 throttle. DO THIS TWICE.
2.) From a stop, accelerate the vehicle to 65-70 mph at approximately 1/2 throttle. DO THIS TWICE.
3.) From a stop, accelerate the vehicle to 70 mph at approximately 3/4 throttle. DO THIS TWICE.
4.) From a 40 mph roll, press the accelerator to the floorboard quickly (forcing the truck to downshift) and accelerate to around 75 mph.
5.) From a stop, acclerate to 75 mph at wide open throttle (press the accelator to the floor immediately). DO THIS 2-3 TIMES.

how do i do the strategy flash? can it be reversed if i dont like it?

I have done the relearn process every time i load a tune, this one sucks and cant be good for the tranny.

Why would you want to go backwards from strategy flash? It gives you all the tunes up to the 250 and if you already have the 275 and 310 tunes, you get those as well. No, you can't go backwards.

Tech Support - How do I convert my DashDAQ to Strategy Flash?
