my 2009 f250 gas gauge = POS

what is wrong with ford? This is the second time I have ran out of gas . First time the mpg thing said 60 till empty no warnings or nothing.

This time showed 105 miles till empty ran out of gas again !

Worst part is the thing wont FUC**NG start when you put more diesel in it ! Do i have to call the dealer again and pay these idiots for a problem that is caused by this truck ?

I know its not just mine,. my buddies does this too, can you not go under half a tank without concern to run out of gas and not be able to start it again?

I have had this happen as well. It will eventually start once you get fuel in it. My truck took about an hour of trying before it fired.

Intake, delete pipe/exhaust, Spartan/KEM tuning

567 RWHP/1128 RWTQ

13.3 @ 103.9 MPH

thats just nuts. what a piece of junk.. iv never had this problem with the dodges, and chevy diesels i have owned. i have cranked it so meny times nothing, and ford wont warranty it due to "not being covered..." there famous words .

What seemed to get mine to start was priming the pump by cycling the key over and over. Then while cranking the truck over holding the gas peddle at about 1/4 throttle. This is also the procedure I used after having the cab off the truck and the entire fuel system drained.

ill keep trying im sure the bat will die soon though. there should be a better way specially since this is a common problem with these things.. thanks for the help.

sputtered a few times then died. now i cant get it to sputter anymore. is this for real? does ford really expect normal people to tolerate this?

Ford fuel gauges suck. My sisters 07 was out of fuel under a half tank. Take it in under warranty.

Ive had mine down to 25 miles until empty and never ran out of FUEL or DIESEL.
