Diesel performance shops...

Question for the people who work on these things for a living. My brother is looking to get an intake and I wanted to know which one you are finding with the best fit and finish...consistantly. Out of all the ones you have installed which one will it be?

Thanks in advance guys

Definitely not the new AFE stage 2 Si. That intake has to be the worst fitting ever but I cannot say a bad thing about how it functions. Intake temps are reading the same as ambient temps.

All of the posts/threads you find about ease of install and ease of cleaning will point you in the direction of the AFE Stage II.

Weird im seeing ambient temps with the stage 2 or maybe 1 degree's cooler.

To the original poster I'd definitely buy the afe again. Easy install / maintenance over the S&B. Little bit more $$ but worth it imho!

Question .. Why is the S&B harder to clean over the AFE seems like the same thing.

The filter on the S&B doesn't fit through the plastic see through window. So taking it apart causes it to come loose off of the turbo or other connections. Its a giant pia!
