True benefits of 4" downpipe

Are there any real benefits to having a 4" downpipe? Is there a difference in sound or noticeable power. $280 bucks is alot of money, I just want to make sure I am not wasting my money. If it is something I can do without I dont want to purchase it. Any input would be helpful

If you don't plan on using your truck for any kind of competition use or heavy towing, it really is of no use. It helps increase throttle response, lowers EGT's at WOT slightly, and allows for a little more boost on top end. Sound increase for me was minimal, but the exhaust note was a little better with less hiss.

I got the ceramic coated one from Rudy, and yea I think it's worth the money for sure. It really made the bottom end come alive again
