Spartan Mounting
I just got my Spartan in, and I'm trying to decide the best place to mount it. I really love the look and "viewability" of the pod mount, but because it would leave the dashdaq in direct sunlight, I'm not crazy about having to take the unit out every time I park the truck. I remember seeing a post on here where someone used the included mount to attach the unit where it was under the cupholder below the radio/AC. However, I can't get mine to stick there, and I can't find the post now.
My ideal is to find somewhere out of direct sunlight (so I can leave it plugged in) but with some degree of viewability when driving. How do you guys have yours mounted? Pics welcomed!! |

I like mine here cause with the lift you cant see it unless your on a ladder. Its a bit more trouble to see when driving cause you have to look down which isnt good but honestly i very rarely need to look at it...

That's interesting. How's it mounted?

I removed the little black plastic panel and used the mounting bracket and 2 zip ties to secure it to the metal bracket behind the dash. Its adjustable with the normal mounting bracket adjustments.

Isn't that hard to read when driving?

I moved mine from the edge mount and now use the suction cup mount and put it over my tach. I really like it there because it's close and easy to see. I monitor rpms on the dd anyway so don't mind the tach being covered.
