6.4 truck rant/discussion

Well i have posted here stating my truck had a blown headgasket. that was about 2 months ago and still dont have my truck ford had a hard time gettin it warrantied but is has started and they will put studs in for me which makes me feel better about it.

But time for my discussion... i do not want this to happen again. Not gonna spend the money on a wastegate at the moment, i'll just watch my gauges more closely. So i would like to keep egts down. i have spartan, 4inch dp back exhaust, and a afe intake. would a down pipe help egts significantly? and i was thinking about straight water injection (no methanol) is it worth it? if a snow kit isnt i could talk to shied's about a custom kit. Gonna save up for a tranny soon.

Any input on other budget mods that can help the best... let me know

thanks

Most of the people who have installed a downpipe have reported a 50 - 100 degree drop in egrt and faster spoolup and better response. I think it is well worth it and it is my next mod.
